John Tomlinson
Senior Managing Director
Mr. Tomlinson is a Senior Managing Director with Osprey Capital. He is responsible for sourcing and negotiating investment opportunities for Osprey Capital. Prior to joining the group, he was a Senior Vice President and Real Estate Lending Department Head for Wells Fargo Bank. During his extensive real estate career, Mr. Tomlinson has served as a real estate developer specializing in office and retail “ground-up” development. He was also active as a FNMA DUS lender and a FHA multifamily lender. Additionally, Mr. Tomlinson recently served as a Senior Private Banker and held Series 7 and 66 licenses. During his lending career, Mr. Tomlinson has sponsored or been involved with over $3.5 Billion in loans and investments. He also has an extensive background in teaching real estate topics to the American Bankers Association, the Mortgage Bankers Association, the NAIOP and the ICSC. He currently holds a Florida Real Estate Salesman License
Mr. Tomlinson was born in Ft Belvoir, Virginia and as the son of an Air Force pilot, has lived in many parts of the world. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida and is a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He is a licensed pilot and both built and now flies his own aircraft. Mr. Tomlinson lives in Mt. Dora, Florida with his wife, Linda. They have two grown children and one grandchild.
